Capital High Green Club Recycling Competition a Success!

The Capital High Green Club held it's first recycling competition at our May Plastics Drive. The Green Club provided 8 volunteers between the hours of 12 and 4 on Sunday of the event. The competition was set up so that students from Capital High would bring their bags of plastic to the event during that time period and register the number of bags they brought with the student volunteers. All students participating in the competition were rewarded with a pizza party, and the student bringing the most items received a $25 gas gift card.

Overall 40 students participated in the competition, totaling 208 bags of plastic. The winner, freshman Meg Giddings, brought in 17 bags of plastic! The Green Club hopes to hold another competition in conjunction with one of our fall plastics drives and hopes to get even more students involved!
