Happy America Recycles Day, Keeping S.A.V.E.ing

Dear Helena,

Thank you for another successful community plastics drive! We heard your comments and concerns, so we will continue to have a drive starting January 10th-13th, while the City of Helena works to establish a program.

We want to celebrate your commitment and our volunteers’ efforts that make each drive a continual success.  With your continued support, we are committed to making plastics recycling safe and accessible for the citizens of Helena. More details at savemobile.org.

Today is America Recycles Day, and it also happens to be S.A.V.E.’s ten-year anniversary. In ten years, we’ve made greywater legal, helped advance recycling through event models such as electronic waste that was absorbed by the transfer station, provided recycling for dozens of community events, and very soon, permanent, accessible, and safe plastics recycling.

S.A.V.E. remains committed to advancing environmental stewardship by establishing community capacity, education, and statewide policy.  Please join us in continuing our mission at S.A.V.E.’s Ten Year Anniversary Celebration on December 6th, at the Staggering Ox, from 5:30-8:30pm, featuring local county legend Jason DeShaw and Paige Rasmussen, and a silent auction.

Sincerely,

Eric Walliman
S.A.V.E. Recycling Program Director
