S.A.V.E. Featured on ABC.com: A Better Community!

Plastics Recycling & Sunrise with S.A.V.E.

Recycling at S.A.V.E. started at 6:30a.m. this morning with Nicole, Caleb, and Matt using the Savemobile and the Vegi-mobile to move hundreds of pounds of plastics to be baled at Pacific Steel & Recycling.



In addition to a community collection program for plastics held every 3 months (next collection Dec 7-14), S.A.V.E. collects plastics on a regular basis with its business collection route serving downtown Helena and surrounding areas.

Trash for Trees / Erase E-waste / 160,000 pounds recycled

- This years Trash for Trees (Sept 29th) with The S.A.V.E. Foundation and Growing Friends collected nearly 80,000 pounds of newspaper, office paper, magazine, glass, tins, aluminum cans, cardboard, and plastics. This is a great turnout for the Fall collection. With this collection, S.A.V.E. has recycled more around 15,000 pounds of plastics in one month!

- Erase your E*waste with S.A.V.E., City Helena Transfer Station, City-County Sanitation, Montana Department of Environmental Quality, Lewis & Clark City-County Health Department, Lewis & Clark Water Quality Protection District, Lewis & Clark Landfill, and Pacific Steel and Recycling collected 80,000 pounds of electronic waste from across the Helena community and surrounding areas. The collection filled 3 semi-trucks and a moving truck and sets a record for Helena E*waste events.

- Mark you calendar for November 15, America Recycles Day and S.A.V.E.'s annual fund raiser which will be hosted at Exploration Works! in Helena.
